Predictive Analytics Software Development - Your Questions Answered

What is predictive analytics?

Predictive analytics is the branch of artificial intelligence that deals with making predictions about future events based on historical data. Predictive analytics uses a variety of techniques, including machine learning, statistical modeling, and data mining.

What are the benefits of applying a predictive analytics solution?

There are many benefits to applying predictive analytics in business, including:

  • Predictive analytics gives you the power to see into the future and make decisions that can help you avoid problems before they occur.
  • Predictive analytics can help you optimize your marketing campaigns by identifying which customers are most likely to respond to a particular offer.
  • Predictive analytics can help you improve your customer retention rates by identifying which customers are most likely to churn.
  • Predictive analytics can help you reduce fraudulent activity by identifying which transactions are most likely to be fraudulent.
  • Predictive analytics can improve your manufacturing processes and final product quality by predicting deteriorations before they occur.
What is the difference between machine learning and predictive analytics?

Machine learning is a subfield of artificial intelligence that deals with designing and developing algorithms that can learn from data. Predictive analytics is a subset of machine learning. Machine learning models are used to learn and improve from experience without being explicitly programmed automatically. Predictive analytics, on the other hand, is the process of using data mining and statistical models to predict future outcomes.

Will a predictive analytics tool bring value to my company?

Predictive analytics can bring value to companies of all sizes in various industries. Whether you're looking to improve your marketing campaigns, forecast product demand, or optimize your manufacturing processes, predictive analytics can help you achieve your business goals.

However, there is no guarantee that a custom predictive analytics software will get this expected value or that the total cost will not be too high to handle. That is why a detailed planning phase and an iterative approach are crucial in every AI-based project. Only in this way will you be able to predict the cost, income, and break-even points of your development. There are ways to reduce the risk of not getting value from AI solutions. nexocode's approach is based on a deep understanding of the needs of the projects and the possibilities of current AI technologies coupled with the iterative process. Our project methodology focuses on delivering value as early as possible and starting small with AI Proof of Concept development.

You can find out more about how to turn AI into a profitable investment in our article on theROI of AI. Our team will help you leverage the latest AI tools and methodologies to create practical data-driven applications that deliver real business value.

How much data do I need for a predictive analytics project?

When it comes to data needs there is no hard and fast rule, generally speaking, the more data you have, the better. This is because predictive analytics relies on historical data to make predictions about future events. So, if you have more data, your predictive models will be more accurate, especially when working on deep learning projects more data will allow the algorithm to learn and improve its performance.

Our Data Scientists are experienced in providing preliminary Data Quality Audits and in preparing a dedicated data collection strategy for our clients.

I have a lot of data. Can nexocode help me clean and prepare it for computer vision?

We are experienced in working with a wide variety of data sources and formats. We can help you clean and prepare your data for image analysis. Our team can also help you not only with preprocessing or data labeling but also with designing and implementing a custom data collection strategy tailored to your specific needs.

How much does it cost to develop a predictive analytics solution?

Wisely navigating the complexities of predictive analytics development requires specialized expertise and experience. At nexocode, we have a team of experienced data scientists and machine learning engineers who can help you evaluate your needs and determine an optimal approach for your project.

The cost of a predictive analytics project depends on several factors, including the size and complexity of the project, the amount of data available, and the specific business needs. To get an accurate quote for your project, please contact us.

Which predictive analytics techniques are used to build advanced analytics solutions?

Depending on project complexity, we apply various machine learning and statistical analysis to build predictive analytics solutions like regression models, support vector machine, time series forecasting, decision trees, random forests, and deep learning methods like neural networks or reinforcement learning.

Which programming languages and frameworks are used to build predictive analytics solutions?

Choosing which technology should be used to build predictive analytics solutions will depend on the specific task you are trying to accomplish and the technology that you want to use or already use within other services. At nexocode, we have experience using various programming languages and frameworks, including Python, Keras, TensorFlow, and Google Cloud ML Engine. We prefer a technology-agnostic approach to make sure to select the predictive analytics techniques, platforms, and libraries that work best for your task.

How to integrate predictive analytics solutions with internal systems?

Many companies already have a significant investment in internal systems and data. nexocode can help you leverage this investment by integrating predictive analytics solutions with your existing systems. Our ML experts have experience working with a variety of different technologies. They can help you determine the best way to integrate a predictive analytics model into your existing system and ensure that the integration is executed seamlessly.
